Earring & Necklace Care - To avoid oxidizing your earrings or necklace, do not expose earrings to water, steam, sweat, or store in direct sunlight. Always store jewelry in a dry, sealed bag away from the elements.

All necklaces are made with 14k gold fill chain, wire, and clasps. These necklaces are made to last for years with proper care. Refrain from wearing in the shower, river, ocean, or storing in constant sunlight. However, if worn in the ocean or river just be sure to rinse in fresh water (and dry) directly after.

Brass and sterling silver will develop a natural patina over time, and will accelerate the process when exposed to water / steam / sweat on a regular basis. If you like your pieces to remain super shiny, my absolute BEST recommendation would be a jewelry polishing cloth. There are tons of different ones available online, however my favorites are the Sunshine polishing cloths and the Rio Grande basic ones. They’re super affordable and will wipe off any darkening and renew the piece to its original shine. To use a polishing cloth, simply rub the affected area, making small circles, until renewed to desired shine. These cloths work for brass, sterling silver, and gold filled pieces. There are also resources online for home remedies to remove brass tarnish. Some include: scrubbing affected area with a toothbrush and water, sand affected area with VERY fine grit sandpaper until removed, or following youtube videos utilizing hot sauce or acids to remove tarnish. These methods are more difficult and the results vary. Polishing cloths are by far the best option. Please contact me if you'd like any help or advice on removing tarnish from well-loved brass or sterling silver earrings or if you’d like a single polishing cloth included in your order. I choose to use brass because it can always be renewed unlike plated metals.
